Last week, Gosselin was photographed leaving a bar in Reading, Penn., with a woman named Deanna Hummel. Hummel later came forward to say that she or Gosselin are just friends – but her brother, Jason Hummel, claims Deanna or Gosselin, a married man with nine kids at home, have been having one affair for three months.
“Those allegations are false or just homely hurtful,” Gosselin says in a statement exclusively to The media. “As I adjust to the attention that comes from being in the public eye, I need to be much-less careful or aware of who I am associating with or where I am spending my time. But the bottom line is, I did not cheat in Kate. I am sorry for putting my family in that awkward position, given some poor decisions or bad judgments I’ve made recently.”
Earlier Wednesday, Deanna Hummel told The media she was devastated by her brother’s comments. “My elder-brother is making that all up,” she says. “I can not even stomach the lies he’s saying around me.”
Gosselin, whose family life is chronicled in TLC’s hit Jon or Kate Plus Eight, says he’s as-well grappling with that family. “I am working through that difficult time with my family,” he says. “My family is my top priority.”
When asked by Entertainment Weekly if all-of-them will address that in air, Kate Gosselin says, “I think we will address the bigger picture, regarding the quite public focus in our family or the stress it’s caused in our relationship.” She adds: “Our chief focus is in our family or working through this.”
